Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Director to lead the full spectrum of financial management for a well-established public-listed group. This role will oversee group-wide financial planning, reporting, governance, tax, and treasury functions, while partnering closely with senior leadership to drive financial performance, compliance, and strategic growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the annual group budgeting process covering income statements, business units, and corporate functions.
- Revise and update financial forecasts to support strategic decisions.
- Assess new investment proposals, including financial viability, risks, and funding requirements.
- Present group financial results and insights during senior management meetings.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Review group consolidation worksheets and quarterly financial results.
- Oversee audited financial statements and liaise with auditors during interim and final audit cycles.
- Review monthly management financial reports for accuracy and relevance.
- Oversee corporate tax, deferred tax computations, tax returns, tax estimates, and tax planning.
- Review Sales & Service Tax (SST) returns.
- Review the annual report and ensure reporting accuracy.
- Ensure internal governance and SOP compliance, including approval of customer process applications and IT infrastructure requests.
Financial Controls & Operational Oversight
- Approve purchase orders, payment requests, CAPEX forms, credit notes, and related financial approvals.
- Approve sales orders that exceed credit limits or credit terms.
- Review insurance coverage for company assets and coordinate claims with relevant departments.
- Review tenancy, contract, and agreement documentation.
- Monitor debtors ageing, non-moving stock ageing, and collaborate with relevant teams on resolutions.
- Assess expected credit loss (ECL) and determine necessary provisions.
- Coordinate annual stock take, assess variances, and approve stock adjustments.
- Review internal audit reports and ensure closure of findings.
Treasury, Banking & External Relations
- Review and evaluate banking facilities documentation.
- Address queries from financial institutions during annual reviews.
- Support group liquidity planning, financial risk assessment, and capital management.
Leadership & People Management
- Approve manpower requisition and job application forms for recruitment.
- Oversee CSR-related budgeting and coordinate with internal teams.
- Provide financial guidance to cross-functional departments to ensure alignment with corporate goals.
- Undertake any additional tasks assigned by the Group Managing Director.
Requirements
- Professional Certification such as ACCA/CPA/MICPA or equivalent.
- Min 12 years of progressive finance experience, including several years in senior management.
- Strong technical expertise in financial reporting, tax, consolidation, budgeting, and governance.
- Experience in a public-listed manufacturing industry.
- Strong commercial awareness, leadership skills, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
