Electrical Engineer - HV

Company Background

We are representing our client, that provides Electrical and Mechanical engineering solutions including Electrical (High/Low Voltage), ELV Systems, ACMV & HVAC Systems, Clean Room Systems, Fire Protection, Clean Energy Solutions, Data Center Solutions and etc. As they continue to expand, they are looking to hire a Electrical Engineer HV to join the team

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee high-voltage electrical systems at 275kV, 132kV, 33kV, and 11kV, ensuring full compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Perform detailed electrical calculations and simulations, including cable and load sizing, overcurrent protection, and earth fault protection design.
• Handle key infrastructure projects such as Data Centres, Interconnection Facilities (IF) for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Large-Scale Solar (LSS) Farms.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including electrical drawings, specifications, and engineering reports.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, authorities, and subcontractors to ensure smooth and efficient project execution.
• Participate in project meetings and technical presentations to align stakeholders and drive progress.
• Conduct on-site and off-site inspections to monitor construction activities and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to electrical systems during all phases of the project.
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, verifying accuracy against approved designs.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical oversight and supporting their professional development.

  
  

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of 57 years experience in electrical design work for high-voltage systems or equivalent capacity
• Certified Chargeman (B0 33KV) issued by Malaysia Energy Commission
• Knowledgeable in general electrical / mechanical engineering works
• Ability to interact and deal effectively with all levels of management and staff
• Must possess good planning knowledge analytical skills
• Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and resolve conflict
  

Job details:

• Working hours: Mon-Fri (9.00am-6.00pm) & Sat (9.00am - 1.00pm)
