Company Background:

We are representing one of a well known Pastry Cafe and as they are expanding, they are looking for In House Legal Counsel /In House Counsel to be based in Bangsar, KL.

Job Description:

• Provide legal advice on all aspects of processing, including origination, servicing.
  
• Advise management and staff on legal risks and regulatory compliance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
• Ensure all documents comply with relevant laws and regulations.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations applicable to the industry.
• Keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations and advise the company on necessary adjustments.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with the companys operations and transactions.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to manage legal risks.
• Manage and oversee litigation matters, including working with external counsel as needed.
• Handle disputes and negotiate settlements on behalf of the company.
• Work closely with other departments, including Compliance, Risk Management, and Operations, to ensure legal considerations are integrated into business decisions.
• Support strategic initiatives and projects from a legal perspective.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Bachelor of Law (LLB)
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a legal role.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state laws.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
• High ethical standards and professional integrity.
