They are currently looking for Safety Assessor - ASSESS SHIPYARD SAFETY FOR HOT WORK based in Singapore.

Job Description:

  • Ensure provision of the WSH Act and subsidiary Regulations are complied with.
  • Ensure that work is carried out as per the documented work instructions & safe task procedures.
  • Apply permit to work system as required by the procedures and regulations.
  • Ensures that all operations/activities conform to Health, Safety & Environmental requirements and maintains high safety standards.
  • Carries out gas monitoring of vessels as requested by clients.
  • Issue of various permit-to-work and identification of unsafe acts, unsafe conditions both on vessels, shipyard sites and workshops.
  • Ensure that the work forces compliance to the legal requirements and In-house rules and regulations.
  • Participate in the preparation of safe work and operation procedures.
  • Any other tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time.
  • Carry out safety inspection for issuance of hot work onboard vessels, and other locations as requested by clients
  • Standby onboard vessel during the course of gas freeing operation as requested by clients
  • Carry our risk assessment as requested by clients when needed

Job Requirements:

  • MUST HAVE - ASSESS SHIPYARD SAFETY FOR HOT - WORK CERTIFICATION
  • ADDED ADVANTAGE - ASSESS CONFINED SPACE FOR SAFE ENTRY AND WORK CERTIFICATE / SHIPYARD SAFETY SUPERVISOR COURSE
  • Must stay in Singapore and willing to travel and be on the go at all time.
  • Good physical condition to perform inspections in confined spaces and potentially hazardous environments.
  • Ability to adapt to different work environments and conditions.
  • Able to work Independently
  • Not afraid to be work offshore

ADDITIONAL INFO

  • Working hours: Depending on job assignment. Max 44 hours per week.
  • Basic up to SGD3,200
  • Performance Bonus
