Senior IT Specialist (Network & Security)

We are representing our client, a large firm that specialises in brand building particularly in the FMCG sector. 

Job Responsibilities:

1. Network Operations and Support:

Solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies, such as routing, switching, VLANs, and network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP).

Design, implementation, and management of complex network infrastructure, including WAN, public or private clouds, Data Center networking, routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, and other configurations.

2. Network Security Management:

Responsible for the overall design and implementation of various security solutions to fulfil the business and security requirements

Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for endpoint protection and threat configuration aligned with the overarching cyber defence goals.

Familiarity with security best practices and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and endpoint protection.

In-depth technical knowledge on infrastructure and network products, including AP, Firewalls etc.

3. Technical Support:

Provide second-line technical support to handle complex IT issues.

Mentor and train junior IT support staff to enhance their technical skills.

Coordinate and communicate with software development team, to improve and streamline on operability of services at multiple environments

4. Project Collaboration and Support

Leads in IT project implementation as and when required

Job Requirements:

• Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Professional certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, Microsoft MCSA/MCSE) are a plus.
• MMU & APU graduated is preferable
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in network management
• Skills: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding, summarizing, & communication
• Good project management and documentation skills.
