COMPANY BACKGROUND:

We represent our client who is specialized in precision engineering parts, tool and die, and molding manufacturer. Due to their expansion, they are looking for Supply Chain Manager (NEW POSITION) to be based at Subang Jaya, Selangor.

SUMMARY:

Responsible for cost-effective procurement of materials and services, ensuring quality and timely delivery. Oversees purchasing, logistics and warehouse to meet production demands. Manages logistics department including budget, team, and performance.

REPORTING TO: General Manager / Director

TEAM SIZE: 5

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Purchasing & Subcontracting
    • Lead team to meet delivery and quality targets.
    • Select and assess vendors and subcontractors.
    • Regularly evaluate vendor performance and drive improvements.
    • Implement continuous improvement strategies.
  • Warehouse & Shipping
    • Develop and enforce storage and handling policies.
    • Conduct accurate stock counts and manage inventory levels.
    • Oversee receipt, issuance, and shipment of products.
    • Manage customs interactions for imports.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Diploma/Degree in Business Administration or a Technical field (Mechanical/Electrical Engineering preferred).
  • Experience: At least 5 years in a managerial role in Material Management and LMW
  • Technical Skills:
    • Supply chain and ERP system management.
    • Warehouse management and negotiation.
    • Understanding of customs and tax regulations.
    • Proficiency in ERP and Microsoft Office.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Goal-oriented with strong leadership and analytical skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
    • Independent decision-making and good negotiation skills.
  • Behavioral Traits:
    • Decisive with a strong personality.
    • Proactive with excellent judgment.
    • Effective communicator across all levels and cultures.
    • Competent in presentations and fluent in English.

SALARY RANGE & BENEFITS:

  • Basic RM8,500 (Basic) to RM12,000 (Basic)
