Company Background

We are representing our client a seafood restaurant and event banquet that delivers the ultimate dining experience to be based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor (Near to LRT station - 5 min walking distance).

They are currently looking for an industry expert for the Purchasing Assistant Manager (Mandarin Spoken & Written is required)

Job Description 

1. Assist in Procurement Planning:

  • Collaborate with departments to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.
  • Analyze market trends to identify potential suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.

2. Vendor Management:

  • Assist in evaluating and selecting suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.

3. Contract Negotiation and Management:

  • Support in negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers.
  • Ensure contracts are in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

4. Purchase Order Management:

  • Oversee the creation and approval of purchase orders.
  • Monitor order status and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Address and resolve any discrepancies related to orders, invoices, or deliveries.

5. Cost Control and Budget Management

  • Assist in tracking and managing procurement budgets.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Prepare reports on procurement activities, savings, and performance metrics.

6. Compliance and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and organized records of purchases, contracts, and supplier agreements.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.

Requirement & Qualification 

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management,  or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Purchasing  / Procurement from F&B industry or equivalent.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
