Company Background

We are representing our client an established shipping company in Klang that provides logistics services in Shipping and Container.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Reports to Senior Manager (based in SG)
  • Responsible for overseeing the operations of container shipping services within Malaysia.
  • Lead a team, manage budgets, and ensure high customer service standards
  • Operational Management
    • Oversee daily container shipping operations and shipping agency
    • Guide the team to solve all shipping-related issues
    • Work closely with Head Office to serve existing and new customers
  • Customer Relationship Management
    • Handle enquiries, complaints and disputes from customers or shipping lines and shipment-related internal communication.
    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective service delivery
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and manage the export shipping team by planning and implementing strategies and initiatives to ensure continuous improvement in both service and transit time performance
    • Provide training, support, and performance evaluations for team members
    • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Logistics Coordination
    • Coordinate with liners to ensure seamless cargo movement.
    • Manage container inventory and tracking systems.
    • Optimize logistics processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs


Job Responsibilities:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Min 3-5 years of experience in container shipping, logistics, or maritime operations, with specific and significant experience in the Malaysian market, which is a crucial advantage for this role.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian shipping regulations, container handling, and port operations.
  • Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues related to shipments.
  • Experience in managing large-scale container shipping operations within Malaysia.
  • Knowledge of Malaysian maritime law and international trade regulations.

    • Permanent employment
    • Working days / hours : Mon - Fri : 9am - 6pm
