We are representing our client in Mining & Building Materials industry. As the company prepares for expansion, they are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Finance Manager (New Position) to be based at their HQ in Sri Damansara, Kuala Lumpur.
Job Description:
We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of the company and support the Financial Controller in managing the finance function across the group. The role involves overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and internal controls, with a strong focus on timely and accurate reporting from HQ and subsidiaries.
Responsibilities:
Financial Operations & Reporting:
Oversee day-to-day financial operations including GL, AR, AP, and bank reconciliations.
Ensure timely preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements for the group.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Control:
Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports.
Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management for business performance review.
Implement cost control initiatives and monitor capital expenditure.
Compliance & Internal Controls:
Ensure compliance with MFRS, statutory requirements, and tax regulations.
Support internal control procedures and help improve accounting processes.
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and relevant government authorities.
Taxation & Treasury:
Manage SST, income tax submissions, and liaise with tax consultants.
Monitor cash flow and support treasury functions including payments, banking, and funding needs.
Team Management:
Supervise and mentor a team of finance and accounts executives.
Coordinate with finance staff at subsidiaries to ensure timely submissions and adherence to group policies.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional accounting qualifications (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) are preferred.
Minimum 57 years of relevant working experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager role, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or mining industries.
Good understanding of MFRS, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
Experience with multi-entity reporting or consolidation is an added advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., AutoCount, SQL, SAP, or similar).
Able to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
Good communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
