Context:

The VSSE plays a key role in national safety by identifying and preventing security risks, advising government bodies, and neutralizing threats. The work environment is high-impact and sensitive, requiring strict discretion and security clearance.

Responsibilities:

• Bridge business needs and technical solutions

• Translate complex issues into practical, measurable improvements

• Work across the full lifecycle of analysis and implementation

• Apply standards in software development and security

• Collaborate with stakeholders to align business requirements

• Monitor progress and evaluate impact in strategic terms

Required Skills and Expertise:

Must Have:

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst

• Proven success in IT projects and process optimization

• Strong experience in change management and business analysis

• Hands-on knowledge in:

• BPMN or UML activity diagrams

• Data modeling

• Tools such as Visio and Jira

• Business requirements engineering

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• High sense of responsibility and discretion

• Willingness to work fully onsite in Brussels

• Proactive, structured, and results-oriented

Additional Requirements:

• Must hold Belgian nationality

• Willing to undergo security clearance ("Zeer Geheim") if not already held

• Must work 5 days onsite (no exceptions)

• Flexible working hours; office is near Brussels North Station
