Overview
We are looking for a Network Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance enterprise network infrastructure in a complex, multi-site environment. This role is ideal for professionals with strong Cisco networking expertise who enjoy troubleshooting, network design, security, and infrastructure optimization.
You will work on critical networking initiatives, support capacity growth, implement new technologies, and help ensure a secure, reliable, and scalable network environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, support, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure.
- Manage LAN, WAN, Wireless, Data Center, and network interconnection technologies.
- Configure and support routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
- Administer firewalls, VPNs (IPsec), wireless networks, and QoS solutions.
- Participate in network upgrades, integrations, and capacity expansion projects.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex network issues.
- Develop technical documentation, implementation plans, and testing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, best practices, and change management processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive network improvements and operational excellence.
- Participate in an on-call rotation supporting production environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience managing enterprise network environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies.
- 5+ years of experience configuring and troubleshooting:
- BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
- Cisco ASA and/or Palo Alto firewalls
- IPsec VPNs
- Wireless networking
- Quality of Service (QoS)
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Cisco ISE, 802.1X, TrustSec, and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA).
- Experience with monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds NPM/NCM, LiveAction, and Cisco Prime.
- Exposure to Software Defined Networking technologies, including Cisco SD-Access, Cisco ACI, and SD-WAN solutions.
