Job Description: We are looking for a qualified Civil Engineer to join our client's team in the construction industry. In this role, you will play a key part in planning, designing, and managing various civil engineering projects for our client's organization. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and improvement of critical infrastructure across Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the client's team to understand project objectives, budget, and timelines.
  • Develop project plans, including scope, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee and manage project execution, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Monitor project progress, identify issues, and provide regular updates.
  • Prepare detailed design and engineering drawings for various civil infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, buildings, and utilities.
  • Conduct structural and geotechnical analysis to ensure designs meet regulatory requirements and safety standards.
  • Utilize relevant software, such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D, for design purposes.
  • Ensure that all project designs and construction activities adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Prepare and submit necessary permits and approvals to relevant authorities.
  • Stay informed about changes in regulations and standards affecting civil engineering projects in Australia.
  • Develop project cost estimates and budgets, and monitor expenditures throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and strategies to optimize project budgets.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with the client, keeping them informed about project progress, challenges, and solutions.
  • Address client concerns and provide expert guidance to ensure client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Australia or eligibility for licensure.
  • Experience in civil engineering, with a strong background in project management.
  • Proficiency in civil engineering design software, such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian engineering standards, regulations, and codes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
