Our client is an established life insurance business forming part of a wider European group. Following continued growth in its cross-border portfolio, the compliance function is expanding and a new AML officer is being brought into the team. The environment is deliberately flat and non-bureaucratic — you will have direct access to decision-makers and real influence over how the framework develops.

The role

• Acting as the go-to point of contact for client-facing colleagues on all AML and financial crime questions
• Reviewing client due diligence files for completeness and plausibility, and building out business profiles
• Ongoing monitoring of higher-risk relationships and politically exposed persons
• Corresponding directly with clients and intermediaries to obtain outstanding documentation
• Contributing to periodic reporting and to risk assessments across the AML framework
• Helping to write and maintain internal AML manuals, policies and directives
• Supporting internal and external audit cycles, including remediation of findings

Your profile

• A commercial apprenticeship or equivalent qualification, backed by solid practical experience
• Hands-on AML experience gained within insurance or financial services (this is a firm requirement)
• A structured, analytical mind, comfortable holding several threads at once under time pressure
• Confident across MS Office
• Fluent German and English, plus a good working command of Italian — all three are required. Further languages are welcome.
