We are supporting a large, mission-critical infrastructure organisation in Zurich that is strengthening its ICT governance, portfolio management, and strategic planning capabilities.

This is a senior leadership role with real influence across business and technology, combining people leadership (40%) with hands-on governance & portfolio ownership (60%).

Your Role & Impact

As Head of ICT Governance, Portfolio & Planning, you will:

  • Lead and develop a central ICT Governance & Planning team (5 people)
  • Own and evolve ICT governance & planning processes across the full lifecycle:
    • Demand Management
    • Business Relationship Management (BRM)
    • Project & Portfolio Management (PPM / PMO)
    • Requirements Engineering
  • Drive transparency and prioritisation across the enterprise-wide ICT project portfolio
  • Define and embed COBIT-aligned governance standards, adapted to organisational maturity
  • Act as a senior business partner, ensuring business demand is structured, visible, and aligned with ICT capabilities
  • Chair and facilitate portfolio boards, steering committees, and governance forums
  • Shape and orchestrate ICT roadmaps across departments and initiatives
  • Advise leadership and delivery teams on governance, planning, and execution models

What You Bring

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in ICT governance, planning, or portfolio management
  • Minimum 5 years of people leadership experience
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of:
    • COBIT (practical application)
    • Demand Management & BRM
    • PPM / PMO frameworks
    • Requirements Engineering
  • Experience working in classic and agile delivery environments
  • Exposure to public procurement and contract negotiations is an advantage
  • Fluent German & English (spoken & written)
  • Structured thinker, confident communicator, natural facilitator
