Job Description: Senior Network Engineer - Hybrid, Netherlands

Role Overview

As a Senior Network Engineer with expertise in Cisco, you will play a critical role in transforming and maintaining Atos' network infrastructure in Amersfoort, Netherlands. This position is a hybrid role, requiring a presence on-site two days a week. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure that the network infrastructure meets high standards of quality, availability, and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Transformation: Contribute to the complete transformation of various networks into a single, future-proof network landscape.
• Backup & Monitoring: Set up and manage backups, implement advanced monitoring, and make capacity usage visible.
• Infrastructure Development: Actively participate in establishing a renewed infrastructure that ensures a resilient and scalable network environment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with production teams and product owners to enhance productivity and predictability across different networks.
• Consultation: Serve as a sparring partner for product owners, providing insights and guidance to strengthen collaboration.
• Creative Problem Solving: Apply creative solutions based on your knowledge and experience, ensuring these solutions are documented and integrated within the existing organization.

Qualifications

Must-Haves:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a network engineer or in a similar role within an enterprise environment.
• Certification: CCNA certification is required.
• Educational Background: Demonstrable work experience at the HBO (Higher Vocational Education) level.
• Leadership: Ability to act both independently and as part of a team, taking on a leading, proactive role.
• Agile Experience: Experience working in Agile, multidisciplinary teams.
• Problem-Solving: Capable of applying creative solutions and ensuring their integration and documentation within the organization.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Advanced Certification: CCNP certification is preferred.
• IT Infrastructure Knowledge: Experience with networks and a solid understanding of system management and IT infrastructure in general.

Additional Notes

This role is a blend of Senior Network Engineer and Junior Network Architect. While prior experience as a Network Architect is not required, the candidate should be senior enough to begin transitioning into that role.
