Job Summary: The Warehouse Supervisor at Talent Source will oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and effective management of inventory, staff, and processes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Leadership:
    • Manage and lead a team of warehouse workers, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
    • Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork and communication among staff.
  • Operational Oversight:
    • Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
    • Ensure that all operations are conducted in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy.
    • Implement inventory control procedures to minimize loss and optimize stock levels.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
    • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track and optimize workflows.
  • Quality Control:
    • Ensure all products are handled and stored properly to maintain quality and prevent damage.
    • Address and resolve any quality issues promptly and effectively.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for staff.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Equipment Maintenance:
    • Oversee the maintenance and proper operation of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
    • Coordinate repairs and servicing as needed.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and warehouse activities.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance and metrics to senior management.
  • Customer Service:
    • Collaborate with the customer service team to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
    • Address and resolve any customer complaints or issues related to warehouse operations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficient in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Solid understanding of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Work Environment:

  • This position involves regular exposure to a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
