Job Summary: The Warehouse Supervisor at Talent Source will oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and effective management of inventory, staff, and processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership:
- Manage and lead a team of warehouse workers, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork and communication among staff.
- Operational Oversight:
- Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
- Ensure that all operations are conducted in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy.
- Implement inventory control procedures to minimize loss and optimize stock levels.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track and optimize workflows.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure all products are handled and stored properly to maintain quality and prevent damage.
- Address and resolve any quality issues promptly and effectively.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for staff.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Oversee the maintenance and proper operation of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
- Coordinate repairs and servicing as needed.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and warehouse activities.
- Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance and metrics to senior management.
- Customer Service:
- Collaborate with the customer service team to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
- Address and resolve any customer complaints or issues related to warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficient in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Solid understanding of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Work Environment:
- This position involves regular exposure to a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
