Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Maintenance:
  • Install and maintain electrical systems on various types of marine vessels.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections of electrical equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair:
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues on marine vessels.
  • Repair or replace faulty wiring, fixtures, and equipment as necessary.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and standards.
  • Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of all electrical work performed.
  • Prepare reports on electrical issues and repairs.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a Marine Electrician.
  • Extensive experience with marine electrical systems and equipment.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems, including AC and DC circuits.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics.
  • Certification:
  • Relevant certifications or licenses in marine electrical work are preferred.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical certification or associate degree in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.
