Job Summary

Service Irrigation Technician is responsible for providing irrigation installation, maintenance and service of various residential and commercial properties throughout the Bahamas. This person will be responsible for keeping accurate records, promoting job worksite safety, providing excellent customer service, and exhibits pride and quality workmanship.

Essential Duties

Work closely with management, team members and clients

Always represent the companys best interest, maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism.

Proficiently and safely use power and manually operated tools and equipment to perform irrigation installation and maintenance.

Monitor and test old and new irrigation installations, troubleshoot and repair problems, observe pipe and valve placements and evaluate start-ups, winterization and overall operation of the irrigation system.

Water feature troubleshooting, cleaning, maintenance and repair.

Low voltage lighting system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

Conduct and record detailed inspections and plan/execute upgrades as necessary for client irrigation systems.

Understand and meet production and maintenance schedule deadlines without sacrificing great customer service or excellent quality.

Track materials and time on service work orders and submit daily according to current processes and procedures.

Attend training classes and seminars as requested by executive management.

Requirements

4 years minimum residential and commercial Landscape Industry experience with a background in horticulture.

3 years experience irrigation experience.

Irrigation Technician Certification required.

Strong customer service background.

Experience with estimating and job costing experience.

Essential knowledge and have recent prior experience with trenchers, multi-meters, wire locators, ditchers and pipe sizing.

Previous experience with testing of backflow systems required.

Must have a valid drivers license 

Must be self-motivated, possess strong leadership skills, and be professional in appearance and actions.

Must be detail oriented, possess critical thinking skills and is quality results driven.

Must be well organized with strong communication skills and ability to multi-task.

Strong project management experience organizing and managing all maintenance schedules.

Must have a strong understanding and experience reading and interpreting landscape and irrigation plan specifications, technical procedures and processes

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work overtime, weekends, and possibly, although rarely, holidays should the workload warrant.
