About the Role
Our client is a well-established insurance broker company seeking a Senior Client Relation Executive to manage and maintain relationships with corporate clients across General Insurance, including property, financial-related insurance, liability, and other general insurance products.
This role will act as the key point of contact between clients and internal teams, particularly the Placement team, to ensure clients' insurance requirements are properly understood, communicated, and followed through from renewal or policy servicing until completion.
The role will manage a dedicated portfolio of clients and will be responsible for maintaining strong client relationships, supporting policy renewals and endorsements, handling client concerns, ensuring client satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and business development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage & Maintain Client Relationships
- Act as the main point of contact for assigned corporate clients and maintain strong, long-term relationships.
- Conduct regular communication and client visits to understand their insurance requirements and provide appropriate servicing.
- Understand clients' business needs and insurance requirements and communicate relevant information to the internal team.
- Provide clients with updates regarding their insurance policies, coverage, and relevant developments.
- Handle client inquiries, issues, and concerns and coordinate internally to provide appropriate solutions.
2. Manage Insurance Renewals
- Monitor upcoming policy renewals and proactively communicate with clients regarding their renewal requirements.
- Understand any changes in the client's business, insurance requirements, coverage, or policy conditions prior to renewal.
- Communicate the client's renewal requirements and changes to the Placement team.
- Coordinate with the Placement team throughout the placement/bidding process with insurance companies.
- Follow up with clients regarding insurance quotations and proposals prepared by the Placement team.
- Explain and communicate available insurance options to clients and follow up until the client reaches a decision and the renewal is successfully completed.
3. Handle Policy Endorsements & Servicing
- Act as the primary contact when clients require changes or adjustments to their existing insurance policies.
- Understand the client's endorsement requirements and communicate them to the relevant internal team.
- Coordinate and follow up with the Placement team and/or insurance companies to ensure the required endorsement is processed.
- Communicate the endorsement status and completed changes back to the client.
- Ensure client requests and servicing requirements are followed through in a timely manner.
4. Ensure Client Satisfaction
- Receive and handle client complaints, concerns, and servicing issues.
- Provide appropriate solutions based on the client's situation and the terms and conditions agreed in the insurance policy.
- Maintain strong client satisfaction and support client retention and policy renewal.
5. Support Business Growth Through Existing Clients
- Identify potential opportunities within assigned clients and develop strategies to increase revenue.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional insurance products and services.
- Understand clients' changing insurance requirements and identify opportunities to provide additional solutions.
- Support the Placement team in increasing the Company's profitability through existing client relationships.
6. Support New Business Development
- Visit and maintain relationships with existing clients to identify opportunities to expand the services provided.
- Identify and approach potential new clients.
- Support the development of new business opportunities and contribute to opening potential markets in other areas.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in General Insurance, preferably within an insurance broker, insurance company, or related financial services environment.
- Proven experience in Client Relationship Management, Account Management, Client Servicing, or Business Development within the insurance industry.
- Good understanding of General Insurance products, particularly areas such as Property, Liability, Financial Lines, and other corporate insurance products.
- Experienced in handling corporate clients and managing a dedicated portfolio of accounts.
- Familiar with the insurance renewal process, including understanding client requirements, coordinating with Placement, reviewing quotations/proposals, and following up with clients until renewal completion.
- Experience handling policy endorsements and other insurance servicing requirements.
- Strong ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
- Good communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Commercially aware with the ability to identify upselling, cross-selling, and business development opportunities from existing clients.
- Able to coordinate effectively with internal teams, particularly Placement and Finance, as well as external clients and insurance-related parties.
- Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently as a single contributor while managing multiple client accounts.
- Willing to conduct client visits and external meetings as required.
- Professional English communication skills would be an advantage.
