Deputy Manager Logistic

Our client is a major steel manufacturing company operating in Indonesia.

The company focuses on:

• Steel production and processing
• Supplying steel for industries like:
  • Construction
  • Automotive
  • Infrastructure (bridges, buildings, roads)
  • Manufacturing

Their operations are centered in Cikarang – Bekasi (West Java), which is a major industrial hub.

Responsibilities : 

• Oversee inbound & outbound logistics (raw materials coming in, finished goods going out)
• Manage warehouse operations (storage, stock accuracy, layout, safety)
• Coordinate with production, procurement, and sales to ensure smooth flow of goods
• Handle transportation & distribution (trucking, delivery schedules, 3PL vendors)
• Monitor inventory levels and avoid overstock/shortage
• Ensure on-time delivery and resolve delays/issues
• Control logistics costs and improve efficiency
• Supervise and guide team (supervisors, staff, operators)
• Make sure all operations follow SOPs, safety, and compliance
• Make sure the right goods move at the right time, at the right cost, without disruption

Qualifications : 

• Bachelor degree of Logistic, Management or Industrial Engineering
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in logistics / supply chain
• Hands-on experience managing:
• Warehouse operations
• Inventory,Inbound & outbound logistics
• Transportation & distribution (trucking, 3PL)
  
• Experience handling high-volume or bulky materials (important for steel)
• Experience from manufacturing industries is a MUST
  (preferably steel, automotive, heavy industry, or raw material handling)
• Familiar with ERP (SAP/Oracle)

• Strong in analytic data & cost efficiency
  Experience leading team
• Good communication in English
