Engineering Management Trainee (MT) Program

Our client is an integrated flat steel manufacturer, meaning it handles processes end-to-end: from raw materials (iron ore, pellets) through upstream steelmaking to downstream finishing and coating.

Job Purpose :

The Engineer Management Trainee program is designed to develop high-potential fresh engineering graduates through structured on-the-job training and hands-on exposure to manufacturing and engineering operations. The trainee will support daily engineering activities while gaining practical experience across technical, operational, and project-based functions.

Key Responsibilities :

Engineering Support & Operations

• Assist senior engineers in daily engineering, production, and maintenance activities.
• Support monitoring of machinery, equipment performance, and production processes.
• Assist in troubleshooting basic technical issues and escalate complex problems when required.
• Participate in preventive maintenance and operational improvement initiatives.

Process Improvement & Projects

• Support data collection, analysis, and documentation related to engineering processes.
• Assist in continuous improvement projects focusing on efficiency, quality, safety, and cost optimization.
• Participate in engineering projects, trials, and technical studies under supervision.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Compile daily, weekly, and monthly engineering reports as required.
• Ensure all documentation complies with company standards and procedures.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

• Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and company policies.
• Support quality assurance activities and compliance requirements.
• Participate in safety briefings, audits, and continuous improvement programs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Coordinate with production, maintenance, quality, and other departments to support operational needs.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members regarding progress and findings.
• Actively participate in training and development programs.

Requirements :

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering only
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Graduates from reputable universities (e.g., President University, ITB, UI, UGM, BINUS, etc.) are preferred.
• Minimum GPA: 3.50 / 4.00

Skills & Competencies

• Strong willingness to learn and develop technical and operational skills.
• Basic understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Good communication skills in English is a Must.
