Responsibilities:
- Team Management
- Supervise and mentor a team of procurement specialists and buyers.
- Assign tasks, evaluate performance, and conduct training on procurement policies, procedures, and systems.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Procurement Strategy
- Assess procurement needs and develop strategic sourcing plans.
- Identify potential vendors and conduct thorough vendor evaluations.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Purchase Order Management
- Review and approve purchase requisitions from various departments.
- Generate and issue purchase orders while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor order status and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Cost Control
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize procurement expenses.
- Analyze spending trends and recommend areas for cost reduction.
- Quality Assurance
- Establish and enforce quality standards for procured goods and services.
- Conduct quality inspections and address any non-compliance issues with vendors.
- Compliance
- Ensure adherence to all procurement policies, regulations, and legal requirements.
- Monitor vendor compliance and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Reporting & Analysis
- Generate procurement reports and dashboards to track key performance metrics.
- Analyze data to identify trends and support data-driven procurement decisions.
Qualification:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of EXIM (Export-Import) regulations.
- Active English communication skills, both written and verbal.
