Position Summary:
Our Client is looking for a proactive and results-driven Collection Analyst with 1-3 year of experience in lending to join their team. The ideal candidate will focus on effectively recovering outstanding debts through telecalls, field visits, WhatsApp reminders, video messaging, and other innovative approaches. The Collection Analyst will ensure all collection activities are conducted within ethical standards to minimize loss rates.
What Will You Do?:
1. Debt Recovery:
- Conduct telecalls to customers with overdue accounts to remind them of their repayment obligations.
- Send regular WhatsApp reminders to customers about their outstanding payments.
- Utilize video messaging to communicate with customers, providing a personal touch to collection efforts.
- Assist in automating all the above collection activities.
- Perform field visits (if necessary) to engage with customers and discuss repayment plans personally.
2. Customer Engagement:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to facilitate timely repayments.
- Address and resolve customer queries and concerns related to their outstanding debts.
- Educate customers on the importance of maintaining good credit standing and non-payment consequences.
3. Innovative Collection Strategies:
- Develop and implement innovative approaches to debt collection that align with company policies and ethical standards.
- Experiment with new communication methods and tools to improve customer engagement and repayment rates.
4. Compliance and Ethical Standards:
- Ensure all collection activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain high ethical standards in all customer interactions and collection efforts.
- Document all collection activities accurately and maintain up-to-date records in software.
5. Performance Monitoring:
- Track and report on collection performance metrics, including recovery rates and delinquency rates.
- Collaborate with the Collections Manager and Product Team to develop and implement action plans to improve collection outcomes.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in debt collection in the lending industry.
- Proficient in local language with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle difficult conversations and negotiate repayment plans effectively.
- Experience with innovative collection approaches, such as WhatsApp reminders and video messaging
- Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and familiarity with collection software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A strong personality who likes to build things from scratch, prioritizes learning and wants to grow sustainably (not hyper-growth) by assuming significant responsibility.
