Our client is a prominent manufacturing company in the tyre industry, dedicated to high operational standards and continuous innovation. To support plant operations and ensure optimal utility system performance, they are currently seeking an experienced Engineering Utility Manager with a strong technical and leadership background.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and maintain all plant utility systems, including boilers, air compressors, cooling towers, and water treatment facilities.
- Ensure utility systems operate reliably and efficiently to support continuous tire production.
- Develop and implement SOPs and preventive maintenance plans for all utility equipment.
- Monitor system performance, analyze data, and identify opportunities to improve energy and resource efficiency.
- Lead the utility technician team, including task scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations related to utility operations.
- Manage departmental budgets, including operating costs, maintenance, and capital expenditures.
- Oversee equipment upgrades and replacement projects from planning to execution.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to meet utility demands effectively.
- Troubleshoot and resolve utility system failures promptly.
- Manage spare part inventory and procurement for utility maintenance.
- Develop and lead energy and water conservation initiatives across the plant.
- Ensure water treatment facility output meets required standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure safe and optimal utility equipment performance.
- Prepare reports on utility system performance (energy, water, and cost metrics).
- Maintain accurate technical documentation including drawings, manuals, and records.
- Stay current with technological advancements in utility systems and recommend improvements.
- Participate in internal and external energy/environmental audits.
- Foster strong relationships with vendors and contractors for utility-related services.
- Perform life cycle cost analyses to guide investment decisions in utility systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; a postgraduate degree is an advantage.
- At least 15 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, utility systems, and power distribution.
- Experience leading large and cross-functional teams.
- Age range: 35 - 45 years old.
- Willing to be placed on-site in Citeureup, Bogor Regency.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proven commitment to safety standards and best practices.
- Skilled in budgeting and cost control.
- Experienced in end-to-end project management.
- Proficient with engineering software and PLC systems.
- Ability to drive process improvements and adapt to new technologies.
- Strong multitasking and time management capabilities.
- Able to handle high-pressure situations and respond to emergencies.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
