Overview:

We are currently looking for an experienced Accounting Manager for our client, a leading insurance company to oversee daily transaction processes, budgeting, and expense reporting in a dynamic financial services environment. The role will also lead a small accounting team and ensure financial operations run efficiently and in compliance with internal and external standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and validate daily financial transactions and journal entries in alignment with PSAK/IFRS.
  • Ensure all transactions are supported by proper documentation.
  • Monitor and maintain the accuracy of the Chart of Accounts.
  • Review monthly actual expenses vs. budget and highlight variances to each department.
  • Prepare monthly expense reports including: Management expenses, Commission expenses, Marketing and campaign-related expenses.
  • Draft internal budget planning based on actual YTD expenses and business forecasts.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts related to expenses.
  • Maintain audit readiness and coordinate with internal/external auditors.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team to ensure high-quality reporting and succession planning.
  • Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum 5 - 7 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of PSAK, IFRS, and internal control standards.
  • Experience in budgeting, expense monitoring, and financial operations.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel.
  • Excellent leadership and team development skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of integrity and accountability.
