Overview:
We are currently looking for an experienced Accounting Manager for our client, a leading insurance company to oversee daily transaction processes, budgeting, and expense reporting in a dynamic financial services environment. The role will also lead a small accounting team and ensure financial operations run efficiently and in compliance with internal and external standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and validate daily financial transactions and journal entries in alignment with PSAK/IFRS.
- Ensure all transactions are supported by proper documentation.
- Monitor and maintain the accuracy of the Chart of Accounts.
- Review monthly actual expenses vs. budget and highlight variances to each department.
- Prepare monthly expense reports including: Management expenses, Commission expenses, Marketing and campaign-related expenses.
- Draft internal budget planning based on actual YTD expenses and business forecasts.
- Perform regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts related to expenses.
- Maintain audit readiness and coordinate with internal/external auditors.
- Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team to ensure high-quality reporting and succession planning.
- Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 5 - 7 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
- Strong knowledge of PSAK, IFRS, and internal control standards.
- Experience in budgeting, expense monitoring, and financial operations.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel.
- Excellent leadership and team development skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of integrity and accountability.
