Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate preparation, filing, and payment of all tax-related documents, including but not limited to corporate income tax, value-added tax (VAT), withholding tax, and other relevant taxes as per Indonesian tax regulations.
- Tax Reporting: Prepare and submit periodic tax reports, including annual tax returns, quarterly tax reconciliations, and other required tax filings to the Indonesian tax authorities in compliance with regulatory deadlines.
- Tax Audits and Examinations: Coordinate and manage tax audits and examinations by Indonesian tax authorities, including responding to inquiries, providing necessary documentation, and resolving any tax-related issues effectively and efficiently.
- Compliance Updates: Stay updated with changes in Indonesian tax laws, regulations, and policies, and conduct thorough research to ensure compliance with new tax requirements. Implement necessary changes to tax processes and procedures accordingly. Provide tax advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on various business transactions.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized tax records, documentation, and supporting schedules in compliance with Indonesian tax laws and audit standards.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments, including finance, accounting, legal, and operations, to ensure alignment of tax strategies with overall business objectives and facilities
Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification in taxation (e.g. Brevet AB & C) is must
- Minimum of 5-6 years of relevant experience in tax compliance, planning, and reporting, preferably in a multinational company
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian tax laws, regulations, and practices, with a strong understanding of corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and other relevant tax areas.
- Experience in handling tax audits, examinations, and disputes with Indonesian tax authorities is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and apply them effectively to business operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
