Position Summary:
The Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing credit policies, building credit scorecards, identifying, measuring, and mitigating credit risks, and managing the loan portfolio for consumer loans in Indonesia. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in credit and collections, a strong data-driven approach, and extensive knowledge of Excel and SQL.
What Will You Do?:
- Credit Policy Development: Design and implement comprehensive credit policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements and business objectives.
- Scorecard Building: Develop and maintain robust credit scorecards to effectively assess and predict consumers' creditworthiness. Ability to build and deploy underwriting models
- Credit Risk Management: Identify, measure, and mitigate credit risks associated with consumer loans. Implement strategies to minimize potential losses and ensure portfolio health the ability to build default and recovery models.
- Portfolio Management: Monitor and manage the loan portfolio, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with established credit policies.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics to identify trends, assess risks, and make informed decisions. Maintain and analyze large datasets using Excel and SQL.
- Collection Strategy: In association with the Collection Manager, develop and implement effective strategies to minimize delinquencies and maximize recoveries.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular reports on credit and collection activities, portfolio performance, and risk metrics. Maintain detailed documentation of credit policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including risk management, operations, and finance, to ensure cohesive and effective credit and collection processes.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all credit and collection activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements in Indonesia.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
- Proficient in English and preferably in Bahasa.
- 5-7 years of experience in credit policy and management, focusing on unsecured consumer loans in India and/or Indonesia.
- Strong knowledge of credit policy frameworks, credit scorecard development, and risk management.
- Proficiency in data analysis using Excel and SQL.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, measure, and mitigate credit risks effectively.
- Experience in portfolio management and developing collection strategies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the financial services industry in India and/or Indonesia is essential.
- A strong personality who likes to build things from scratch, prioritizes learning and wants to grow sustainably (not hyper-growth) by assuming significant responsibility.
