Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
- Fluent in English and business-level proficiency, speak Hindi (preferable)
- 5-6 years of experience in product management within the financial services industry, specifically in the consumer lending business with NBFC, P2P, and Multi-Finance companies.
- Proven track record of managing and leading internal teams and external partners/vendors.
- Strong understanding of loan origination, loan management, credit underwriting, KYC, direct-debit, auto-debit, regulatory reporting, taxation, and reconciliation processes for the consumer lending industry.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Ability to operate in organized chaos and a VUCA (Volatile - Uncertain - Complex - Ambiguous) environment.
- A strong personality who likes to build things from scratch prioritizes learning, and wants to grow sustainably (not hyper-growth) by assuming significant responsibility.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in the financial services industry is essential.
What Will You Do?:
- Product Development Leadership: Build and lead the end-to-end product development process for Loan Origination Software, Loan Management Software, Credit Underwriting Engine, Reporting, Taxation, and Accounting backend, ensuring alignment with market needs and regulatory requirements.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps that align with the company's business goals and objectives.
- Team Management: Manage and mentor teams of product analysts, designers, developers, and notably external vendors and partners (starting with), to ensure cohesive and efficient product development.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with key stakeholders, including loan origination partners, business, management, and credit teams, to ensure successful product launches and ongoing improvements.
- Market and Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer needs, product innovation and differentiation opportunities.
- Requirements Definition: Collaborate with external vendors, engineers, and stakeholders to gather, define, and prioritize detailed product requirements and specifications.
- Product Backlog Management: Oversee the product backlog, ensuring the development team focuses on high-value features and enhancements.
- Quality Assurance: Before release, ensure that all product features and updates are thoroughly tested and meet the highest quality standards.
- Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to gather feedback, understand their needs, and ensure that the product delivers value and solves problems effectively.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to internal teams and customers to ensure high levels of product adoption and satisfaction.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive product documentation, including user guides, technical specifications, and release notes. Prepare regular reports on product performance and progress.
