Research & Development Manager

Our client is a well-established player in the tyre manufacturing industry, recognized for its innovation, technical excellence, and product quality. To support their continued growth and R&D capability, they are looking for a highly experienced R&D Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the R&D team to support product development targets and technical requirements.

• Ensure that R&D outcomes are ready for industrial application and meet safety and quality standards in both product and tooling design.

• Prepare detailed analysis and budgeting for new developments in line with product and investment strategies.

• Collaborate closely with the marketing team to ensure new product designs comply with applicable national and international regulations.

• Conduct market research and data analysis to drive the development of new products aligned with customer and market needs.

• Maintain and update standard data related to product development, design specifications, analytical reports, mold inventories, and RC containers.

• Oversee and execute indoor testing and field trials to evaluate the performance and reliability of both existing and new products.

Requirements

1. Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.

2. Minimum of 5 years experience in a managerial role within R&D, specifically in the tyre manufacturing industry.

3. Strong understanding of national and international design regulations.

4. Proficient in English, both spoken and written.

5. Able to read technical drawings and operate both 2D and 3D design software.

6. Capable of analyzing data from software simulations and field evaluations.

7. In-depth knowledge of tire materials, vulcanization, compound mixing, performance testing, and FEA (Finite Element Analysis).

8. Experienced in building a product innovation roadmap.

9. Solid knowledge of market analysis and emerging technology trends.

10. Willing to be placed in Citeureup, Bogor Regency.
