About the job Accounting Department Head - Refinancing Company
Our client is a well-established company operating in the automotive financing industry with a wide national presence. As they continue to grow and strengthen their operations, they are seeking an experienced Accounting Department Head to lead and oversee the financial reporting and compliance functions at the head office level.
This role is critical to ensuring that the company's financial activities align with national regulations and internal standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in accounting and tax, proven leadership capabilities, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments. With direct reporting to the President Director and oversight of a solid team, this position offers an opportunity to play a strategic role in shaping the financial integrity and reporting efficiency of a major player in the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Develop an annual work plan (activity plan).
- Responsible for executing financial data recording and management in - accordance with PSAK (Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards) and applicable tax regulations to produce accurate financial and tax reports for relevant stakeholders.
- Responsible for preparing financial reports (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow) to be submitted to Bank Indonesia and the Ministry of Finance monthly and semi-annually.
- Create annual projections for workforce needs in the Accounting & Tax division to ensure effective accounting activities.
- Ensure subordinate activities comply with applicable SOPs.
- Provide feedback to subordinates both informally and through formal evaluation processes.
- Ensure all operational activities related to Accounting are supported by systems that promote time effectiveness and efficiency, aligning with the company's targets.
- Build and maintain good relationships with relevant institutions to ensure smooth operational activities.
- Monitor the preparation of bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, semi-annual, and annual reports for related institutions (Bank Indonesia, OJK, Ministry of Finance, etc.).
Requirements:
- Minimum education: Bachelors degree in Accounting.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Accounting.
- Preferably experienced in the financial industry.
- Proven experience in team leadership.
- Strong leadership qualities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting skills.
