Role Overview:

  • Planning and target setting for the agent sales team
  • Formulating sales strategies for different products and achieving targets
  • Recruitment and management of agency channel team members
  • Training, motivating, and development of team members

Responsibilities:

Manage a sales team in a specified area in order to maximize sales revenue and meet or  exceed corporate set goals. Create territory and account development strategies and execute a plan to achieve assigned sales objectives.

  • Responsible for business development and revenue management for assigned areas.
  • Maintain and retain travel agents and ensure achieving targets
  • Able to Leverage our pricing, packaging, and business models to maximize returns and unique business value to Vias agents.
  • Develop and maintain territory plans which outline how sales targets will be met on an ongoing basis
  • Recognize customer business problems and drive/influence resources to address opportunities.
  • Prospect for potential customers using various direct methods such as calling and face-to-face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking and social media.
  • Demonstrate the ability to cold call on targeted potential customers as well as relationship building and interaction with existing and potential customers.
  • Hire, develop, and train all sales employees in his region by company standards and guidelines.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree from a reputable university in Business with a combination of equivalent work experience.
  • Previous experience 8 - 12 years experience in B2B sales/Agency Sales and at least 3-4 years served at the managerial level.
  • Travel Industry Knowledge is a plus
  • Good knowledge of relevant computer programs (e.g. CRM software)
  • Preferably from Travel, Hotels, Tourism, Agency, B2B, E-commerce, or Service industries.
  • Strong working knowledge of sales management and ability to apply these to a variety of situations using a pragmatic and commonsense approach.
  • Able to meet deadlines, adapt to changing conditions, and stands under pressure.
