Geospatial Data Coordinator

We are looking to hire a Geospatial Data Coordinator to work closely with our team in support of

open source web mapping tools and services.

The candidate will have the opportunity to work with an international, multi-disciplinary team on

developing humanitarian infrastructures and build capacities for community-based disaster response.

Duties and Responsibilities:

● Participate in information management working group meetings representing the

organization, and provide the necessary support in presenting the relevant GIS data

● Network, establish, and maintain functional relationships with key data partners

● Coordinate data sharing agreements with government, relevant partners and other

organizations

● Coordinate with development partners on iterative platform testing

● Data analysis and documentation of GIS and crowdsourced-disaster information

● Conduct primary research with various community and government groups, including

assisting with translations when necessary

● Assist with the design, development, and deployment of the PetaBencana.id platform in

Indonesia

Qualifications:

● Professional experience in GIS and spatial data analysis

● Minimum 2 years experience in a role with similar responsibilities

● Experience working with government agencies, an asset

● Excellent fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia

● Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team

● Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and to take initiative

● Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills

● Honest, meticulous, responsible and well organized

● Strong work ethic and commitment to honesty and integrity
