Role Overview
The Principal Architect will spearhead the technical strategy, design, and integration of complex infrastructure projects, primarily in utilities, energy, or telecom. This position plays a key role in defining architectural visions, driving large-scale digital transformation, and ensuring robust system scalability, security, and compliance. The successful candidate will collaborate across teams and Clients to align technology solutions with strategic objectives, leveraging advanced technologies to enhance customer engagement and operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Architectural Vision & Strategy

    • Define and drive the projects technical architecture vision, aligning systems with business and operational goals.
    • Develop comprehensive "as-is" and "to-be" architecture blueprints to guide system development and deployment.
  2. System Integration

    • Design and implement smart grid architectures and advanced metering infrastructure (AMI).
    • Lead the integration of communication networks (e.g., RF, PLC), cloud/on-prem virtualization, and data platforms.
    • Oversee system testing and integration strategies to ensure seamless deployment.
  3. Digital Transformation Initiatives

    • Support the deployment of ERP solutions, IoT telematics, and analytics platforms.
    • Drive large-scale transformation projects to enhance operational efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction.
  4. Governance & Compliance

    • Establish and enforce architecture governance frameworks, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  5. Team Leadership & Collaboration

    • Lead a high-performing architecture team, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
    • Work closely with business analysts, solution architects, and stakeholders to align architecture with business needs.
    • Act as a primary decision-maker for architectural choices, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  6. Innovation & Optimization

    • Evaluate emerging technologies, recommending enhancements to meet project needs.
    • Optimize existing systems to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.

Job Requirements

  1. Experience

    • 12+ years in system architecture, including designing and managing large-scale projects in utilities, energy, or telecom sectors.
    • Proven expertise in digital transformation, advanced metering infrastructure, and smart grid technologies.
  2. Education & Certifications

    • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Masters preferred).
    • Relevant certifications in architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and technologies are highly desirable.
  3. Technical Expertise

    • Strong knowledge of industry protocols (e.g., DLMS), MDM and HES platforms, and process re-engineering.
    • Proficiency in system design, communication networks (RF, PLC), and virtualization technologies (cloud/on-prem).
  4. Leadership & Communication Skills

    • Excellent team motivation, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders effectively.
  5. Language Skills

    • Fluency in English, both oral and written.
  6. Location

    • Based in South Jakarta, Indonesia.
