Senior Mechanical Engineering (Coal Mining)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join one of our clients, a Coal Mining Company. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in mechanical engineering, particularly within the mining industry. This position will play a critical role in overseeing mechanical systems, leading engineering projects, and ensuring the efficient operation of their facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain mechanical systems and equipment used in mining operations.

- Lead a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support.

- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to ensure the reliability of mechanical systems.

- Collaborate with other departments to improve operational efficiency and safety.

- Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment.

- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

- Prepare technical reports and documentation as needed.

- Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Masters degree preferred.

- Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years in the mining sector.

- Proven leadership skills and experience managing engineering teams, especially in mining sectors.

- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, design principles, and maintenance practices.

- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.

- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills; fluent in English and Bahasa (preferred).

- This position is for expatriates, with a preference for candidates from India who have experience working in Indonesia.
