Job Summary:

The IT Manager is responsible for leading the schools technology strategy, infrastructure, and innovation. They will oversee all aspects of IT management, including network security, data privacy, hardware and software implementation, and digital learning initiatives. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills to ensure that technology effectively supports the school's educational and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Technology Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the schools mission and objectives.
  • Identify and integrate innovative technologies to enhance teaching, learning, and administrative functions.
  • Ensure technology investments are cost-effective and support long-term educational goals.
  • Lead digital transformation efforts and ensure the adoption of best practices in educational technology.

IT Infrastructure & Security:

  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems, including networks, servers, and cloud-based platforms.
  • Implement and enforce cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive school data and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Ensure high system availability, disaster recovery preparedness, and effective IT support for faculty, staff, and students.

Educational Technology & Digital Learning:

  • Support faculty in integrating technology into curricula and teaching methodologies.
  • Evaluate and implement e-learning tools, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and online resources.
  • Provide professional development opportunities for teachers to enhance their technology proficiency.
  • Ensure accessibility and equity in digital learning resources for all students.
  • Collaborate with school leadership, teachers, and administrative staff to align technology initiatives with school needs.

Compliance & Budget Management:

  • Manage the schools technology budget and ensure responsible allocation of resources.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and educational technology regulations.
  • Develop policies related to technology use, data security, and digital citizenship.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Educational Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in IT leadership, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital education tools.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and students.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in IT security, project management, or educational technology (e.g., Google Certified Educator, CISSP, PMP).
  • Familiarity with student information systems (SIS) and data analytics tools.
