Supply Chain & Commercial Manager
About the job Supply Chain & Commercial Manager
We are currently assisting one of our clients in the Beauty Products Wholesale & Distribution industry in identifying a Supply Chain & Commercial Manager to support their growing operations in Malaysia.
This position will play a critical role in overseeing supplier coordination, logistics operations, inventory planning, and commercial support activities to ensure efficient and seamless business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain & Supplier Management
- Manage supplier coordination, including purchase order placement, monitoring production lead times, and tracking order fulfillment to ensure timely delivery.
- Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve supply chain delays, discrepancies, and other issues arising from supplier coordination.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure seamless communication and operational efficiency.
Logistics & Inventory Operations
- Coordinate shipping schedules and monitor inbound and outbound shipments.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and warehouse teams to ensure efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Support inventory management activities to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize supply disruptions.
- Oversee import and export processes to ensure compliance and timely execution.
Commercial Support & Data Analysis
- Prepare and analyze sales and inventory reports to support purchasing decisions.
- Conduct market analysis and prepare presentations to provide insights on demand trends and business opportunities.
- Analyze sales data and market feedback to forecast demand, identify trends, and recommend product placement and merchandising strategies.
Financial & Administrative Coordination
- Coordinate with the Finance team regarding supplier payments and provide the necessary supporting invoices and documentation.
- Maintain accurate digital filing systems and ensure proper record management.
- Support cross-functional collaboration to ensure smooth execution of commercial and supply chain activities.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in supply chain operations, sales coordination, logistics, or a related function.
- Proven experience in retail merchandising, inventory management, and import/export processes.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with experience using ERP systems or accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments and external vendors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Requirements
- Location: Based in or willing to relocate to Malaysia.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and proficient in at least one South Indian language (Tamil, Telugu, or Kannada).
