Position Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated, results-driven, and energetic leader with extensive experience specifically in marketing and merchandising fashion brands, particularly those focused on womenswear tops, dresses, and performance outerwear. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of 10-15 years in developing and executing high-impact strategies that seamlessly blend market demand with product strategy, leading to high performance and significant market growth. This critical role requires an eager to grow attitude and offers good compensation.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Strategic Marketing Leadership: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive annual and seasonal marketing strategies and campaigns for the womenswear categories (tops, dresses, and performance outerwear) to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and sales growth.
- Product Strategy Alignment: Act as the crucial bridge between Marketing, Design, and Sales. Collaborate closely with the Design and Sourcing teams to ensure the product line-up (range, depth, pricing) is commercially viable, trend-relevant, and aligned with market demands identified through consumer insights.
- Range Planning Support: Provide strategic input into seasonal range plans, analyzing past business and market trends to optimize assortment, minimize risk, and maximize profitability.
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and consumer insights studies, translating findings into actionable recommendations for both marketing strategy and product merchandising.
Leadership & Performance
- Budget Management: Efficiently manage the procurement budget, ensuring optimal cost for raw materials and delivering a strong contribution % against each and every style.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Ensure seamless coordination with Design, Sample room, production team to ensure compliance with all customer TNA and meet 100% PCD (Planned Cut Date).
- Team Leadership: Mentor and lead the marketing team, fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and energetic work environment.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in marketing and merchandising, with a significant focus on fashion or apparel brands.
- Category Expertise: Mandatory proven experience marketing and merchandising womenswear categories, specifically tops, dresses, and technical/performance outerwear.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the US consumer market, Apparel sourcing regions and the retail landscape is a plus.
- Skills: Exceptional end to end merchandising, analytical abilities, excellent communication with customer, factory and raw material vendors alike, costing acumen, cost-saving techniques.
- Attitude: Must possess an energetic and eager to grow attitude, demonstrating a proactive, hands-on approach and a relentless focus on high performance and measurable results.
- Language: Fluency in English (written and verbal) is essential, Bahasa Indonesia (verbal) is a plus
