About the Role
Our client is looking for results-driven Logistics Sales professionals with proven experience in freight forwarding. The role involves acquiring new customers, managing existing accounts, and driving revenue growth across sea freight, air freight, and related logistics services. Candidates must have strong market knowledge, pricing understanding, and customer relationship skills.
Key Responsibilities (For Both Levels)
- Develop and grow a portfolio of import/export customers in sea and air freight.
- Generate new business through direct sales, referrals, and market networking.
- Prepare and negotiate freight quotations, RFQs, and contracts.
- Coordinate closely with operations, pricing, and documentation teams.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales pipelines, and forecasts.
- Understand customer supply chains and provide cost-effective logistics solutions.
- Track market trends, competitor pricing, and trade lane developments.
- Ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and repeat business.
- Achieve assigned monthly and annual sales targets.
Additional Responsibilities – Senior Level
- Lead and mentor junior sales team members.
- Manage key accounts and strategic customers.
- Drive trade lane development and high-value contracts.
- Support management in pricing strategy and market expansion.
- Represent the company in industry meetings, tenders, and negotiations.
- Provide regular sales performance reports and market intelligence.
Additional Responsibilities – Mid-Level
- Independently manage assigned customers and develop new accounts.
- Support senior sales in large RFQs and tenders.
- Build strong relationships with SMEs, traders, and manufacturers.
- Actively follow up on leads, quotations, and conversions.
- Coordinate closely with operations for smooth shipment execution.
Required Experience & Skills
- 3–6 years (Mid-Level) | 6+ years (Senior) experience in freight forwarding sales.
- Strong knowledge of Sea Freight (FCL/LCL); Air Freight knowledge preferred.
- Good understanding of Incoterms, freight costing, and trade lanes.
- Existing customer base and market connections (preferred).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently in a target-driven environment.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, MS Excel, and email communication.
- Preferred: Experience with international freight forwarders or logistics MNCs | Exposure to exports, imports, cross-trade, and project cargo | Knowledge of local market pricing and carrier networks.
