Job Overview and Responsibility
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Regional Sales Manager/Director to lead our global market expansion. In this role, you will spearhead customer acquisition, sales growth, and market expansion strategies, focusing on regions including the US, EU, Australia & NZL, China, and ASEAN. Your role will be critical in building and managing a high-performing sales team, executing effective sales strategies, and ensuring long-term relationships with customers and partners.
You will work closely with the engineering and marketing teams to deliver tailored solutions, optimize customer experiences, and ensure sustainable growth. This role requires strong leadership, a strategic mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment.
Key Responsibilities
Market Expansion & Customer Acquisition
- Lead the global market expansion efforts, targeting regions such as the US, EU, Australia & NZL, China, and ASEAN.
- Develop and execute customer acquisition strategies, ensuring sales growth and business opportunities.
- Oversee the entire sales funnel and manage KPIs related to sales, profitability, and customer retention.
Sales Team Leadership
- Build, lead, and manage a high-performing sales team of at least 5 people, fostering a positive and results-driven team culture.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to team members, helping them excel in sales targets and professional growth.
Sales Strategy Development & Execution
- Conduct market research and industry analysis to inform customer acquisition strategies and sales tactics.
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to meet regional and global sales goals.
Customer Relationships & Partnerships
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key customers and partners, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Drive sustainable growth by identifying opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding service offerings.
Operational & Budget Management
- Oversee the business operations budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize sales outcomes.
- Collaborate with the engineering and marketing teams to deliver optimal service offerings and coordinate brand promotions and lead generation activities.
Data-Driven & CRM-Based Operations
- Operate with a data-driven approach, using CRM tools to track sales activities and performance.
- Provide regular reports to the Board of Directors (BoD) regarding sales activities, KPIs, and market trends.
Travel
- Frequent travel to meet with potential and existing customers, ensuring strong relationships and business opportunities are nurtured.
Required Skills and Experience
Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership position in Business Development, Sales, or Customer Acquisition in the IT industry, with a focus on the global market.
- Proven experience in building and leading a sales team of 5 or more people.
Skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Proficient in customer acquisition platforms such as LinkedIn, Email Marketing Platforms, Global Hiring Platforms, Industrial Forums, and CRM tools.
- Exceptional presentation, networking, and relationship development abilities.
Technical Knowledge
- Knowledge of modern software technologies (Software Development, AI, Data Platforms, Cloud, System Integration, etc.) is a significant advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office and working tools.
