Job Overview and Responsibility
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to drive global market expansion for our client. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing customer acquisition strategies, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and leading a high-performing sales team. You will target developed countries across APAC, EU, and the US, and your contributions will be pivotal in the companys growth and success on a global scale.
You will work closely with the account management, engineering, and marketing teams to deliver tailored solutions and services to clients. The role requires someone with strong leadership, communication skills, and a strategic mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Market Analysis & Research
- Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify industry trends, customer needs, and new business opportunities.
- Research potential customer segments and keep abreast of competitor activities in global markets (APAC, EU, US).
Customer Acquisition & Strategy
- Develop and execute effective customer acquisition strategies (organic and inorganic) to reach target markets and create business opportunities.
- Work closely with the account management team to implement conversion strategies and close deals effectively.
Building Strong Customer & Partnership Network
- Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders in all related sectors.
- Foster collaboration across various teams and ensure clients receive tailored solutions and exceptional service.
Targeted Markets
- Focus on developed countries in strategic regions including APAC, EU, and US (but not limited to), ensuring successful penetration and growth.
Sales Performance & KPIs
- Own and manage both personal and team KPIs across the entire sales funnel, from lead generation to deal closure.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, opportunities, and challenges to line managers and Board of Directors (BoD).
Sales Team Development
- Lead the hiring, training, and growth of the sales team, ensuring the right culture and skillsets are in place.
- Create a high-performance sales environment through coaching and support.
Customer Retention & Relationship Management
- Develop and execute strategies for customer retention, expanding services, and ensuring long-term sustainable growth.
- Coordinate with the engineering and marketing teams to deliver optimal solutions and drive brand growth.
Coordination & Reporting
- Collaborate with the engineering team to provide customers with the best solutions.
- Work closely with the marketing team to execute brand promotion and related marketing activities.
- Operate in a data-driven and CRM-based working environment and provide regular reports to the line manager and BoD.
Required Skills and Experience
Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Customer Acquisition in the IT industry for the global market.
- Experience with customer acquisition platforms such as LinkedIn, Email Marketing Platforms, Global Hiring Platforms, and CRM tools.
Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a focus on networking and presentation.
- Leadership skills with the ability to build and manage a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive sales goals.
Technical Knowledge
- Knowledge of modern software technologies is an advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office and working tools.
- CRM-based working model experience is required.
