Position Summary:

As a Pre-Litigation Paralegal (Credit Hire), your primary focus will be on credit hire claims before formal litigation. You'll work closely with clients, insurers, and third parties to assess claims, negotiate settlements, and prepare cases for litigation.

Responsibilities:

1. Claim Assessment:
   • Evaluate credit hire claims for validity and potential liability.
   • Gather relevant evidence, including accident details and hire agreements.
2. Communication:
   • Liaise with clients, insurers, and third parties.
   • Negotiate early settlements and liability agreements.
3. Document Preparation:
   • Draft demand letters, pre-action protocols, and settlement proposals.
   • Maintain accurate records and organize case files.
4. Cost Management:
   • Monitor claim costs during the pre-litigation phase.
   • Collaborate with solicitors on cost-effective strategies.
5. Legal Research:
   • Stay informed about credit hire regulations and case law.
   • Assist solicitors in building strong cases.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 1 year in credit hire claims or motor pre litigation.
• Skills: Legal knowledge, attention to detail, negotiation.
• Team Player: Collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
• IT Proficiency: Familiarity with legal software and Microsoft Office.
