ArcticDB Support Engineer

As an ArcticDB Support Engineer, you will work on supporting ArcticDB users to get the most out of the database in development and production. You will also have significant scope to get involved with SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) work using industry standard tools like Kubernetes, Terraform & Prometheus to improve the stability and observability of our production platform.

ArcticDB is a recently open-sourced client-side time-series database written in Python and C++. We are hiring a support role to work with users in development and production to troubleshoot issues and to help users get the most out of ArcticDB. As well as providing support to users, and ArcticDB customers, the role will also include scope to improve our k8s deployments, observability and alerting. The role would therefore suit someone looking to grow into an SRE role.

This position is open to engineers based in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Requirements

  • Experience providing development support to users and production support for systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and aptitude to interact with many different areas of business
  • Basic programming in Python or C++
  • Knowledge of Git
  • Native level of communication skills in English.
  • You must be already allowed to work in the European Union.

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with continuous integration practices and experience with GitHub CI/CD actions for automating testing and deployment processes.
  • Bachelor or higher in a scientific degree.
  • SRE Experience
  • Experience developing systems using any of the following tools:
    • Kubernetes
    • Prometheus
    • OpenTelemetry
