For our clients, we are looking for a seasoned Technical Lead to spearhead their IT Reconciliation team. This individual should have a strong technical foundation, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and the leadership skills to guide a team. The position involves developing and maintaining reconciliation systems, utilizing programming and database expertise to ensure efficient payment processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor the IT Reconciliation team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, setting performance benchmarks, and conducting regular evaluations.
  • Direct the design and implementation of reconciliation systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support the scaling and optimization of reconciliation services to handle increasing data and transaction volumes.
  • Develop complex workflows, APIs, and tools for the reconciliation platform to streamline processes.
  • Create and implement advanced reconciliation procedures from a database perspective for payment systems.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of reconciliation processes, including defining rules, data mappings, and import processes.
  • Work closely with product teams to ensure the technical solutions align with business needs.
  • Operate in a cloud-based reconciliation environment (AWS) and contribute to its evolution.
  • Continuously assess and improve reconciliation workflows, documentation, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of experience in technical roles, particularly with a strong focus on databases and programming.
  • Advanced SQL expertise and experience with databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a leadership role with technical responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as HTTP, (S)FTP, and SSL.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS (preferred)
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of leading technical teams to success.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with programming languages like Ruby or Python.
  • Knowledge of Linux and tools like Terraform.
  • Previous experience in the payments or fintech industry.
