Telecom Engineer

About the Company:

For Our Client who is a privately-owned UK-based company that operates the largest global cellular data network of its kind, we're looking for a Telecom Engineer to join the Bulgarian team. The company provides local, secure, and compliant connectivity for all IoT devices via its cloud platform that spans all continents.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Telecom Engineer with an in-depth understanding of cellular network monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities to join our network team. As a Telecom Engineer, you will be responsible for configuring and defining relevant network behaviors, setting alarms and KPIs, monitoring the network, analyzing alarms, and performing troubleshooting activities to identify and solve issues. You will also work with other teams in the organization such as R&D and Operations.

Requirements and Experience:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience working with Telecommunication networks (Core Mobile networks, EPCs) as part of the system integration team or NOC team is mandatory.
• Familiarity with networking (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS)*
• Telecom Networks 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, MPLS, LAN, WAN
  Telecom Integration background 
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS7)
• Familiarity with virtualization, containers, docker, and K8s (good to have)
• Familiarity with DB (MySQL) (replication plus)
• Familiarity with clustering fault safety and high availability
• Familiarity with bash*
• Familiarity with Wireshark, shark, packet captures, and analysis
• Strong interpersonal capabilities and working as part of a team
• Ability to work in a multitask environment with the ability to properly prioritize between different tasks
• English verbal and written communication skills.
