Our client is a company in the banking industry with a focus on modernization, digitalization, and development of their IT department. We are looking for an experienced professional Team Lead for Database Administrators and Application Administrators teams.
Responsabilities:
- Lead and manage a team of database administrators and an application team to ensure the delivery of high-quality management and maintenance of our databases.
- Participate in evaluating new technologies to improve efficiency, security and overall service levels.
- Ensure that all databases are configured, maintained and monitored in line with companies standards.
- Collaborate with other teams within the organization to identify opportunities for enhancing data quality and optimizing performance.
- Create guidelines, procedures, and documentation related to database administration activities for use by the DBA team.
- Be responsible for ensuring all user access controls are properly managed across all company databases.
- Manage the recovery procedures for all systems including backups and disaster recovery plans.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills as you will need to liaise with other departments within the company.
- You should possess the ability to troubleshoot problems quickly and efficiently.
- We expect you to stay up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies related to database management.
- You must be able to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- We are looking for someone who is proactive and can identify areas for improvement in our existing processes and procedures.
- You should be familiar with security protocols and best practices relating to database management.
- You should have a strong technical background and experience working with MSSQL and/or Oracle databases.
- Strong knowledge in MSSQL and/or Oracle databases;
- Working with DWH teams.
- Disaster recovery and backup management.
- Data integrity management
Management:
- Take ownership of the workflow, workloads and mentoring of the current team.
- Develop strong relationships with Product Owners, Product Managers, and other team members.
- Collaborate closely with other IT teams to provide engaging and clear insights in the appropriate context, enabling actionable recommendations.
- Enhance data accessibility within the department, including building business cases to enrich the data warehouse and improve the quality of analysis.
- Build a comprehensive way of working with clear reporting and ownership to other stakeholders and senior management.
- Excellent communication skills as you will need to liaise with other departments within the company.
