About the job Windows Automation Engineer
Job Profile Summary:
The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing automation solutions to improve the scalability and efficiency of our Windows server environments and hypervisor platforms.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain PowerShell and Python scripts/tooling to automate routine Windows Server tasks.
Design and implement automation workflows for server provisioning, configuration, and management tasks.
Manage and scale virtualized environments using various hypervisors.
Integrate Ansible, Terraform, and other automation tools with Windows servers.
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery of virtualized systems.
Document automation processes and maintain version control via Git.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide automation solutions.
Work collaboratively and as a trusted partner with infrastructure teams and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide solutions.
Promote and adhere to best practices across Technology by aligning strong engineering skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of industry trends and best practices to build reliable, high-performance, and robust solutions.
Key Skills & Experience:
5+ years of experience in Windows Server administration and automation.
Proficient with PowerShell scripting and automation.
Experience with managing and scaling hypervisor technologies at an enterprise level.
Strong understanding of Ansible and Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with Grafana & Prometheus
Participate in an on-call support rota
Native level of communication skills in English
Python experience
Nice to have:
Certifications in Windows Server, VMWare, Hyper-V, Ansible, or Terraform
Experience with cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.
Experience working with enterprise hardware in the data center
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
