At Save the Children New Zealand,  they believe in the power of partnerships to drive meaningful change. That's why we are on the lookout for a Partnerships Specialist, a dynamic, strategic, and relationship-driven professional to lead their Corporate Partnership Programme.

Why this role matters:

This role is a game-changer. Reporting to the Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager, you'll take charge of building, managing, and growing partnerships with some of New Zealand's most influential businesses and organisations. You'll be the go-to expert for prospecting, research, and relationship management developing a best-in-class Corporate Partnerships Programme that delivers incredible impact.

  • Supporting the develop and implement a new Corporate Partnerships strategy that aligns businesses with our mission.
  • Manage and grow long-term, high-value partnerships, ensuring mutual success.
  • Identify and secure new partnership opportunities across various sectors.
  • Create compelling pitches and proposals that inspire businesses to take action.
  • Represent Save the Children NZ at events, confidently engaging key stakeholders.

What we are looking for:

You're a natural connector, negotiator, and storyteller, with a proven track record in:

  • Securing and managing high-value partnerships or multi-year philanthropic gifts.
  • Strategic relationship-building across corporate and non-profit sectors.
  • Communicating complex strategies with passion and impact.
  • Public speaking, networking, and pitching to high-value donors.
  • Event management and donor stewardship that leaves a lasting impression.
  • Financial management and reporting to track success.
  • Understanding donor privacy & confidentiality principles.

Your Superpowers:

  • A strategic thinker, with the ability to understand motivations for giving and to raise funds.
  • Proven people and relationship management skills.
  • Experience growing professional relationships and engaging authentically with a wide variety of people.
  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively across teams.
  • Intuitive understanding of SCNZs fundraising priorities and how to share these with a corporate donor in a way that captivates and inspires.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work to deadlines and targets.
  • Warm, charismatic, and driven to succeed.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to support fundraising colleagues if needed
