About the Role

As a Quality Advisor, you will support field-facing teams, assessors, and internal stakeholders to deliver world-class assessment practice. You will bring a portfolio and business-partnering approach, allowing you to develop deep sector knowledge and support quality initiatives that are fit for purpose and impactful.

In this role, you will:

Strengthen Relationships & Collaboration

  • Act as a strategic partner between programme-facing teams and Quality Assurance.
  • Provide expert advice on curriculum, assessment practice, policies, and best practice guidance.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with portfolio managers, assessors, training advisors, and account managers.

Grow and Support Assessor Capability

  • Identify training needs and deliver targeted professional development workshops.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring to new and at-risk assessors.
  • Ensure assessors stay up to date with CMR, assessment standards, moderation expectations, and sector requirements.
  • Lead onboarding and ongoing mentoring for new assessors.

Lead Quality Assurance & Compliance Activities

  • Support the implementation of the Integrated Quality Assurance Framework (iQAF).
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews and identify opportunities for excellence and innovation.
  • Communicate policies clearly and ensure compliance is monitored, managed, and continuously improved.
  • Develop action plans and support teams to address non-verified outcomes or non-compliance.

Champion Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor trends across tertiary education and assessment.
  • Share insights and lead communities of practice dedicated to improving moderation and assessment.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance learner outcomes and academic quality.

What You will Bring

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years experience within tertiary or vocational education.
  • Diploma-level qualification in Adult Education or Quality Assurance.
  • Completion of Unit Standards 11551, 11552, and 4098.

Skills & Attributes

  • Recent, relevant experience in quality assurance, moderation, and self-review processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret regulatory frameworks and develop informed recommendations.
  • Proven success in delivering training, coaching, and capability-building initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, written, verbal, and interpersonal.
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
