INSTRUCTOR - BLACKSMITH AND WELDING

About Us:

Our client is one of the oldest vocational centres, based in Muhaisnah 1, Dubai. The center was established 25 years ago, and it was a pioneer in vocational training.

Responsibilities:

  • Forge and shape future talents: Develop and deliver comprehensive blacksmithing and welding training programs, adapting them to different skill levels and learning styles.
  • Master the flame and torch: Demonstrate proper techniques and safety protocols in both traditional blacksmithing and modern welding processes (MIG, TIG, arc welding, etc.).
  • Guide hand and mind: Provide individualized guidance and support to students, helping them hone their skills and overcome challenges.
  • Fan the flames of learning: Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Stay apace of the forge: Keep up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in blacksmithing and welding technologies.
  • Build a bridge of understanding: Facilitate communication and cultural exchange between students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Beyond the craft: Contribute to the development and maintenance of training facilities and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • A burning passion for metal: Minimum Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as metalworking, engineering, or art.
  • Tempered by experience: Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a blacksmith and welder, with a proven track record of success in both disciplines.
  • Bilingual brilliance: Fluency in both Arabic and English is an advantage, with the ability to effectively communicate theoretical and practical knowledge in both languages.
  • A teacher's torch: Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a welding instructor or trainer is highly desirable.
  • Master of many fires: Proficiency in a variety of blacksmithing and welding techniques, including forging, shaping, cutting, joining, and finishing metals.
  • The gift of clear communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • A safe and inclusive forge: The ability to create a safe and inclusive learning environment where everyone feels welcome and respected.
  • A fire in your heart: A passion for teaching and mentorship, with a genuine desire to inspire and empower others.
  • Certifications in welding or blacksmithing disciplines.
