About the Opportunity:

Our client, a leading luxury hotel and resort in Kuwait, is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Director of Housekeeping to join their dynamic team. You will play a vital role in ensuring the immaculate presentation and smooth operation of all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities, exceeding the expectations of their discerning clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive housekeeping standards and procedures that comply with brand guidelines and hygiene regulations.
  • Oversee and lead a team of approximately 12 housekeeping staff, including room attendants, housekeeping supervisors, and laundry attendants.
  • Foster a positive and professional work environment that motivates and inspires a team of 12 to achieve exceptional results.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff competency in cleaning techniques, guest service protocols, and safety procedures.
  • Schedule, assign, and monitor the work of housekeeping personnel, ensuring efficient and timely completion of cleaning tasks for all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any cleaning or maintenance issues promptly.
  • Implement and maintain a preventative maintenance program for all housekeeping equipment and supplies.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost control.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with other hotel departments, including Front Office, Engineering, and Maintenance, to ensure seamless guest service and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze guest feedback and implement improvements to housekeeping services based on guest's needs and preferences.
  • Maintain accurate records of housekeeping operations, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and work performance metrics.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and innovations in the housekeeping industry and implement best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in housekeeping management within luxury hotels or resorts.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating large housekeeping teams (ideally 10+ members).
  • In-depth knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning techniques, and guest service protocols.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and a commitment to exceeding guest expectations.
  • Strong budget management skills and a focus on cost control.
  • Proficiency in relevant housekeeping management software (preferred).
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (highly desirable).

Salary:

  • KWD 800 up to KWD 1,000 (USD 2,600 USD 3,255).
